Schlegel

Singer-songwriter Becky Schlegel has emerged at the forefront
of the Upper Midwest's bluegrass, country and acoustic rock
scene. The title song of her 2002 album, "Red Leaf,"
was awarded Music City Minnesota Song of the Year in February
2002. Becky has been a featured artist on KTCA-TV "News
Night," on KMSP-9's "The Buzz" with Robyne Robinson,
and on Garrison Keillor's popular public radio show "A
Prairie Home Companion." Her band was selected to showcase
at IBMA's World of Bluegrass in 1999. She was named the Minnesota
Music Awards Bluegrass/Old-Time Artist of the Year in 2000,
2001 and 2002.
The Becky Schlegel Band includes Becky on guitar, lead, and harmony vocals; Brian Fesler on harmony vocals, guitar and banjo, and Gordy Johnson on bass. Becky also frequently appears with Brian Fesler as a duet. Her performances feature her stellar vocals, solid instrumental work, and outstanding songwriting.
