Attention all Bluegrass Players!
Join Monroe Crossing for the 2023 Bluegrass Instructional Camp (also known as Jam Camp)
Bring your bass, guitar, mandolin, banjo, or fiddle to this fun, intensive event and get more out of your playing! We do ask that students be 12 years of age or older as the material covered in these sessions is intense and requires lots of focus. Students are required to select one of the 5 bluegrass instruments - guitar, banjo. mandolin, bass or fiddle - as the instructors have designed curriculum tailored to these 5 instruments only. Camp Begins: Tuesday, August 8th at 7:00 p.m. and ends with the Thursday evening recital on the main stage as part of the main event festivities.
Cost: $125 until July 15th. $150: July 16 – August 9th.

What to Expect: Classes and breakout sessions covering work in instrument groups (all divided into the 5 standard bluegrass instruments: guitar, banjo, bass, fiddle and mandolin), ensembles, seminars on lead and harmony singing, music theory, song arrangement, jam etiquette, and more. The camp will close out with all students performing their recitals on the Main stage on Thursday evening.
Camping: Participants wishing to stay onsite must pay the $15 per night camping fee ($30 max per vehicle). Minors must camp with an adult.
Food: Participants are responsible for their own food. Festival food vendors are generally setup by Thursday afternoon.
Schedule (subject to change):
Tuesday 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday 9:30 a.m - noon, 1:30 - 5:00 p.m. Thursday 9:30 a.m. - noon, 1:00 - 4:30 p.m. Recitals 6:00 - 6:50 p.m. on Main Stage (meet at Showcase tent @ 5:30 p.m.)
