Camping at the August Festival

Reserved Utility Campsites

If you didn't have a utility site last year but would like one, complete the online form below.

Wait list spots are distributed on a first-come, space available basis depending on rig size and utility requirements. Payment is required at the time of registration on the Wait List but will be refunded if you do not get a spot. Spots will be distributed up to the time of the event.

Refunds for registrant cancellations are available until July 1, 2023.

If you have a utility site but cannot attend the festival, please let us know at 601-651-3694 or info@minnesotabluegrass.org so we can make appropriate arrangements. If you request a refund for your site, you will not have first choice to reserve it next year.

2023 Reserved Tent Camping

This form is for reserving TENT campsites for the August Festival. These sites do not have power hookups but are in the Reserved Camper Utility area of the campground close to the lake, main Festival grounds and the bath house (showers).

There are a limited number of sites available. Refunds for registrant cancellations are available until July 1, 2023.

Non-Utility Camping

The festival grounds includes hundreds of non-utility sites which are included in a multi-day ticket purchase. For example, a two day ticket (valid Saturday and Sunday) includes non-utility camping for Saturday night. Non-utility sites are available in a variety of designated areas and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Generators are allowed in non-utility sites but please note generator use is only allowed from 9 a.m. to Noon and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., except in designated 24-hour generator areas where they can be used anytime. External generators must be labeled as US Forest Service approved.

Accessible (Handicap) Camping

Certified handicap vehicles have a designated non-utility camp area near the main stage and must be requested by completing the form below no later than July 25th.

  • Sites must be reserved in advance and are available on a space available basis.
  • Sites do not have hookups.
  • Sites are only available with a two, three, or four-day ticket purchase. Separate Handicap Parking is available for single day attendance.
  • Festival tickets must be purchased BEFORE completing the form and you must supply your handicap placard number.

Camping Policies

  • ​No roping off sites. Spaces must be occupied by tents, tables, or vehicles.
  • Campfires are only allowed in suitable off-the-ground fire containers.  Fires must not be left unattended.
  • Minors must camp with, and be supervised by, a responsible adult.
  • Excessive noise, use of foul language, or other rowdy behavior will not be tolerated at any time or place on the festival grounds and will be grounds for ejection.
  • No fireworks or drones of any kind are allowed.
  • No camping is allowed with single day tickets.
